This pastel study was done on the long term care unit at Community General Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y. where I was employed as a Nurses Aid. I worked on it over the course of a couple of 1/2 hour dinner breaks (I would always rather draw than eat). The sketchy and vigorous manner of execution seemed to imply sound waves and urgency, further complimenting the subject.
